Motor superyachts, Trawlers and displacement yachts, Motor catamarans and other multihulls

Based in Richmond, British Columbia, Crescent Custom Yachts constructs tailored superyachts along Canada’s Pacific Northwest coast. The yard features a fully enclosed six-bay building facility equipped with a 330-ton Marine Travelift, positioned on a protected stretch of the Fraser River with quick access to open ocean waters.

Jack Charles founded Crescent in 1985 in Crescent Beach before expanding operations to a larger yard in Richmond. Early output included a string of recognized custom motor yachts over 100 feet. Following a sale to an investment group in the early 2000s, production stalled until 2015, when Tim Charles — grandson of the founder — acquired the brand and brought it under the same roof as Platinum Marine.

Today, Crescent Custom Yachts operates under the private ownership of Tim Charles. The team brings together experienced local craftspeople and international project leaders from New Zealand, Australia, Turkey, Great Britain, and Canada. Sharing facilities and technical staff with Platinum Marine creates direct operational synergies across major refits and new custom builds.

Notable launches include the award-winning Crescent 145 Muchos Mas, which debuted at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show after launching in late 2016. Recent activity at the yard centers on the Crescent 164, representing the largest private yacht built in Canada, alongside the Crescent 117 and Crescent 130 projects. Concept designs in development span 110, 115, and 155-foot platforms.

The wider group network surrounding the company includes Tactical Custom Boats, focused on high-performance aluminum vessels; CCY Marine, dedicated to boathouse construction; Milltown Marine Services for recreational boat repair; and WrapBoats.ca, providing exterior and interior vinyl wrapping.
