Channel 28 Limited is an engineering company specialising in Secure Communications and Systems Integration for the Superyacht Industry.
Having started by improving the crew radio experience with Motorola & Hytera DMR system, it became clear that nobody offered a solution to deliver messages from the yacht’s infrastructure to the radios, so we developed the cState integration server in house. Now deployed on over 200 yachts, cState has evolved to encompass requests from customers and continues to add new functionality.
Channel 28 has also expanded its UHF radio portfolio, with full systems of both TETRA and DMR being deployed to yachts from 40m to 150m+. Our UHF design engineers offer a full bespoke Distributed Antenna System (DAS) design service, resulting in even and reliable coverage throughout the most complex of hulls. This is combined with intelligent system and handset programming and an ongoing working relationship with crew for efficient crew operation.
Channel 28 is often requested to advise yachts to improve the physical design and programming of systems. Once the system is operating to its full potential, we offer ongoing Service Contracts and spares supply.
The Morse Service Call button offers a simple, reliable Service Call solution which can be deployed onboard within hours, fully integrated with the onboard AV/IT system, and deliver messages to radios, iPads and Apple watches. Available in a number of bespoke finishes, the buttons can be personalised with engraving, laser etching and full colour high depth printed designs.
The Morse Service Call buttons use ingenious energy management techniques to ensure >1 year battery life from a single replaceable battery, avoiding the need for external charging points and daily charging.
