The Worldwide Yachting Association (MYBA)

MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association is a professional organization founded in 1984, originally as the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association. It established and maintains the highest ethical and technical standards for the global superyacht industry, working closely with government organizations, coastguards, and maritime insurers.

The association is the author and administrator of the industry’s most widely used legal documents: the MYBA Charter Agreement and the MYBA Sales & Purchase Agreement (MoA). These contracts are regularly updated to reflect changes in international regulations and market conditions, providing a standardized framework for maritime transactions.

Membership is restricted to companies and individuals with a proven track record of professional excellence. Member companies are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance and adhere to a strict code of conduct. This structure provides a layer of protection and technical security for yacht owners and charterers.
