Melita Marine Group entered the yachting services sector in 1989, initially providing standard regional support before expanding into a comprehensive services provider. The company now delivers a complete ecosystem of yachting solutions across the Mediterranean, including agency assistance, yacht chartering, customs clearance, duty-free supplies, and bunkering.
In 1998, the company established Melita Power Diesel following the acquisition of Marine Industrial Repairs. This division provides specialized engine repair, overhauling, and reconditioning. The group further expanded in 1999 by launching Melita Yacht Painters Ltd, an authorized Awlgrip applicator utilizing a permanent team of professional painters.
Malta
The refit department in Malta integrates all in-house group resources, including the diesel and painting subsidiaries, alongside a dedicated team of project managers. This combined infrastructure handles every aspect of maintenance, repair, and refitting for vessels up to 110 meters in length.
Spain
In Spain, the company operates a shipyard facility within the Port of Tarragona, situated adjacent to Port Tarraco. This location provides refit and repair capabilities for hauled yachts up to 50 meters, as well as berthing and servicing for afloat superyachts up to 100 meters.
Greece
The Greek division, operating from a 3,000-square-meter workshop and office complex in Koropi, Athens, serves as the exclusive distributor for Rolls-Royce Power Systems, MTU, and Detroit Diesel engines in Greece. This facility maintains extensive parts inventory and provides factory-authorized sales, maintenance, and complete overhauls throughout the region.
