ILIAD Catamarans was founded in 2016 through a partnership between the Australian firm Global Marine and Italy’s ITAC Marine. The brand specializes in world-class, luxury long-range power catamarans, overseen by an international team of marine professionals from Australia, Europe, and Asia.
As a prominent member of The Yacht Sales Co. global portfolio, ILIAD Catamarans operates alongside its sister brand, Veya Yachts, benefiting from a shared international distribution and support network. This strategic alignment ensures that owners receive consistent professional service and technical expertise across both premium power catamaran ranges.
The fleet is constructed at a state-of-the-art, purpose-built shipyard in Zhuhai, China. Every boat is engineered to CE Category A certification as standard, featuring hulls and decks infused with vinylester resin and a PVC foam core for exceptional strength.
Acclaimed naval architect Riccardo Bulgarelli leads the design philosophy, focusing on high bridgedeck clearance to minimize wave impact and ensure a smooth offshore ride. These yachts are purpose-built for serious passage-making, with a fuel tank capacity that allows for ranges between 2,500 and 4,000 nautical miles.
A core technical feature is the use of straight-shaft propulsion systems, which provide dependable performance and simplified maintenance in remote locations. Protective skegs and mini-keels safeguard the shafts, propellers, and rudders, enabling safe beaching for maintenance or exploration.
The brand has introduced advanced e-Motion Hybrid technology across its entire range. This parallel hybrid system allows for a seamless transition between traditional diesel power and silent, zero-emission electric cruising. The system is capable of running all house loads, including air conditioning, for over 24 hours on battery power alone.
Customization is a central pillar of the ILIAD offering. While the ILIAD 53 Series follows a consistent production schedule, the larger ILIAD 60 and ILIAD 75 models are fully customizable. Owners can personalize layouts, interior finishes, engine configurations, and electronics packages to suit their specific requirements.
The standard specification for every yacht is exceptionally high, including European appliances, motorized blinds, and advanced navigation equipment. All vessels feature hard-wired electrical systems for reliability and are backed by a five-year, globally supported structural warranty.
