Freedom Boat Club

Freedom Boat Club pioneered the concept of shared boating when it opened a single Sarasotan dock in 1989.

Now operating as a division of Brunswick Corporation from its headquarters in Venice, Florida, the organization has expanded to more than 400 locations across the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Denmark, and Australia. Membership gives over 100,000 users access to local fleets without the commitments tied to individual vessel ownership.

The club operates on a straightforward membership model designed to remove routine maintenance, insurance overhead, storage logistics, and trailering demands. Members reserve a boat at their home marina or any global location, arrive at the dock to find a prepped and fueled motorboat ready for the water, and return it at the end of the day without handling clean-up or servicing.

Through reciprocal access across all global sites, Freedom Boat Club enables members to navigate different coastal waters, lakes, and rivers worldwide. Each location maintains a varied fleet of motorboats suited for coastal cruising, watersports, and inland lake trips, offering a flexible alternative to traditional boat buying.
