Fliteboard
Founded in 2017 in Byron Bay, Flite is a specialist in the development of electric hydrofoils, now operating as a division of Brunswick Corporation. The company focuses on the intersection of electric vehicle technology and nautical design, providing a range of eFoils that allow for silent, emission-free movement above the water.
With tens of thousands of units sold globally, the brand supports its community through an extensive network of over 330 authorized partners and schools across Australia, North America, and Europe.
The product lineup is divided into two distinct brands: Fliteboard, which focuses on high-end luxury eFoils, and FLITELab*, dedicated to high-performance sports foiling. A key technical feature is the patented Flitebox, an onboard computer mounted at the top of the mast to optimize thermal management and minimize swing weight. This system is paired with the Flite App, allowing riders to track performance data and receive wireless software updates.
Engineering precision is evident in the modular design of the wings, which can be interchanged quickly to suit different riding styles, from cruising to racing. The equipment is powered by Flitecell lithium-ion batteries, which utilize advanced cells similar to those found in high-performance electric vehicles, offering up to 2.5 hours of autonomy. Control is managed via an ergonomic handheld controller featuring an anti-glare screen for real-time telemetry.
Recognized with multiple international design awards, Flite continues to refine the technical aspects of water mobility. By combining premium materials with proprietary electronics and propulsion systems, the company provides a stable and responsive experience for a growing global community of foiling enthusiasts.
