FIBRE Mechanics is a UK-based, employee-owned company that specializes in the design and construction of high-performance custom and semi-custom composite yachts and other advanced composite structures. They are known for their expertise in building lightweight, durable components using advanced materials and techniques.

The company focuses on building high-quality, lightweight composite structures for performance and racing yachts, including America’s Cup, IMOCA and The Ocean Race sailboats. They apply the same weight-saving philosophy used in racing to cruising yachts, including systems and interiors, to ensure optimal performance.

Our Technical Office is a 5-strong team of engineers consulting on lightweight fit-out and installations – they are working with numerous Naval Architects and shipyards on a remarkably diverse range of projects. Our composites team has spent four years learning which automated techniques developed by the aerospace industry can be economically applied to the custom yacht industry.
