Vision Marine Technologies has spent a quarter of a century advancing electric propulsion across the recreational boating market. Headquartered in Canada and listed on Nasdaq under the ticker VMAR, the business designs high-voltage marine powertrains and produces zero-emission electric boats aimed at eliminating noise, exhaust emissions, and fuel pollution on the water.

At the heart of the product lineup is the E-Motion 180E, a fully integrated electric outboard propulsion system delivering a continuous 180 horsepower. Designed as a turnkey package for boat manufacturers, the system combines high-voltage lithium battery packs, an inverter, precision throttle controls, and custom assembly integration with proprietary software.

This setup replaces traditional internal combustion outboards without sacrificing the speed or range expected by recreational boaters.

The technology has gained widespread industry recognition, earning accolades such as Boating Magazine’s Boat of the Year award through its integration into Groupe Beneteau’s Four Winns H2e bowrider.

Beyond production boats, Vision Marine Technologies has demonstrated the high-performance capabilities of its powertrain in racing conditions, driving an electric catamaran to speed records of 109 MPH and 116 MPH at the LOTO Shootout.

In addition to propulsion systems, Vision Marine produces line-ups of environmentally friendly fiberglass and rotomolded plastic recreational motorboats. These models range from classic quiet cruisers to modern pontoon layouts designed for smooth handling and minimal routine upkeep.

To promote electric boating directly to the public, the company manages rental centers in high-traffic coastal destinations, including Newport Beach and Ventura in California, as well as Palm Beach, Florida. Operating these rental locations doubles as a rigorous testing ground, providing direct operational feedback to refine components for long-term durability on open water.
