International Yacht Model Makers

The business was started by Norman Hill in the seventies and developed for over 30 years until 2004, when Kevin Godfrey took over. Kevin had 20 years of experience in the industry having previously started a model making business of his own, supplying the toy industry with pre-production prototypes.

In 2022, Jason and Ruth Shearman took over Scale Models Weston and have continued to grow the business and elevate its prestigious reputation of producing high-quality bespoke scale models. Jason is the talent behind many of the SMW models, having now been with the company for 12 years, and has implemented various technologies to improve processes and the finish of our models.

Our products can be found across the world, in many different places; from offshore supply companies and superyacht shipyards to government buildings, exhibition halls, museums and boardrooms.

Our Team

Our team of model makers, craftsmen, technicians, and CAD specialists all have a passion for what they do. Combining our unique individual skills allows us to perfect every yacht model that we create. Our team are always encouraged to explore new ideas and production techniques to ensure we remain competitive and relevant.

The models we create are used in many different industries as marketing tools or luxury items. Much of our work comes to us from either recommendations or through direct client contact. The structural integrity of our models and the care taken to assemble them, makes them highly durable. Our name is on all the models we build as a mark of quality.
