Rethinking the traditional outboard motor from the ground up, Remigo creates fully integrated electric propulsion systems that serve as a direct alternative to small petrol engines.

Instead of adapting conventional outboard designs to electric power, the company developed a sleek, rudder-inspired unit where the lithium-ion battery, electronics, and motor are all contained within a single waterproof housing. This approach eliminates external cables, vulnerable connection points, and fuel leak risks, producing a clean setup focused entirely on ease of use.

Portability and structural strength are central to the design. Built using marine-grade anodized aluminium, the outer shell carries an IP67 rating above the waterline to protect internal components against salt spray, UV exposure, and heavy impact. Weighing just 12 kg, the outboard is easily lifted and carried using a multifunctional handle that also acts as a tiller when in motion.

Practicality on the water comes from a modular mounting arrangement and wide compatibility. A two-part bracket system allows the transom clamp to remain fixed on the boat while the main motor unit is attached or detached in seconds, making transport and shore charging straightforward.

With stepless shaft height adjustment, a single model adapts to various transom heights from standard short to extra-long shafts. This makes the motor suitable for tenders, dinghies, daysailers, and small keelboats up to 1500 kg.

Everyday operation relies on simple, intuitive controls rather than complex mechanisms. A top-mounted two-button interface manages speed and direction, accompanied by a magnetic safety killswitch. Sealed internal components mean there are no filters, spark plugs, or fluids to change, reducing routine upkeep to basic freshwater rinsing.

The result is a quiet, reliable propulsion solution built for both novice boaters and experienced sailors looking for hassle-free performance in fresh or salt water.
