RAD Propulsion

Founded in 2018 by UK engineers and technology entrepreneurs Rich Daltry and Dan Hook, RAD Propulsion focuses on zero-emission electric propulsion systems designed for the modern marine sector.

Before establishing RAD Propulsion, the founders spent years developing autonomous robotic boats for oceanographic and offshore applications. They brought together a team of product designers, software developers, and engineering experts to create cleaner, quieter, and user-friendly drive systems.

RAD Propulsion targets OEM boatbuilders, commercial operators, and recreational boaters looking to transition away from fossil fuels. The product lineup leverages modern power electronics, advanced control software, and digital connectivity to deliver rugged, reliable performance on the water.

Environmental accountability plays a core role in how the company operates. Working closely with The Sustainability Group, RAD Propulsion utilizes the FuturePlus platform to measure, track, and manage environmental performance across five main pillars: Climate, Diversity & Inclusion, Social, Economic, and Environment.
