PWR-Foil
PWR-Foil was founded by Christophe Defrance to develop electric surfboards that provide an authentic flying sensation over the water.
Based in France, where the development and design take place, the company manufactures premium e-foils capable of reaching speeds up to 60 km/h. The product ecosystem is built entirely on backward compatibility, ensuring that any new technical upgrades or components can seamlessly integrate with older models.
The propulsion and power systems rely on French-assembled lithium-ion batteries featuring a dual-sealing mechanism with internal resin casting and a protective aluminum cover that doubles as a cooling element. These batteries deliver up to 1.5 hours of autonomy with the standard pack and over 2 hours with the long-range variant, achieving a full recharge in roughly 90 minutes.
Operations are managed via an ergonomic, resin-encapsulated waterproof remote control featuring three distinct riding modes that adjust acceleration responsiveness from a smoothed beginner setting to an instantaneous pro mode.
The structural components utilize an HD EPS core shaped via four-axis CNC machinery, laminated with epoxy, fiberglass, and carbon, and reinforced with a paulownia wood sandwich. The hulls incorporate a double-concave shape to facilitate easier takeoffs and minimize drag during touch-and-go maneuvers.
For the underwater gear, the company utilizes marine-anodized AL6061 aluminum for the 80 cm mast and streamlined fuselage, taking advantage of the metal’s thermal conductivity to run an integrated cooling system alongside the internal electrical cabling.
