Northstar AS is a boat manufacturer that forms part of the Marintek Group, a Turkish marine and recreational products powerhouse established in 1989. Northstar began manufacturing boats in 1997, and since 2002, has produced the Northstar branded RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats). Today, the company operates from three state-of-the-art production plants in Izmir, Turkey, with two plants dedicated to recreational RIB production.

Northstar’s product portfolio is one of the most extensive in the industry, serving both recreational and professional markets. The range spans from 2.9 to 12 meters, with the capability to build RIBs up to 18 meters. These performance-driven boats are powered by outboard motors, and for special applications, they accommodate inboard diesel stern drives, jet drives, surface drives, and electric propulsion.

The company is driven by a passion for innovation, performance, and craftsmanship. Guided by the values of quality and reliability, Northstar’s mission is to deliver advanced, seaworthy vessels that provide exceptional experiences on the water. Every Northstar boat reflects a dedication to precision, performance, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.

Northstar’s design process is a cornerstone of its success, blending in-house expertise with the talent of renowned British powerboat hull designer Adam Younger. Younger’s designs, which include his “Advanced Tapered Stepped Hulls,” have been integral to the success of the ORION and ION ranges, pushing the boundaries of performance and handling.

In manufacturing, Northstar uses advanced composite methods such as RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) and Vacuum Infusion, along with the traditional hand lay-up method for smaller boats and parts. All inflatable tubes are manufactured in-house at Northstar’s climate-controlled tube production unit, preferring the use of durable and strong CSM (Hypalon) fabrics.

The company continuously invests in research and development and rigorous field testing to ensure every vessel performs reliably, safely, and efficiently in the most demanding environments.
