Marek Weidlich

Marek Weidlich is an independent multidisciplinary designer based in Copenhagen, specializing in transport, product, and yacht design.

A background in automotive styling brings a disciplined approach to proportions, ergonomics, and functional logic, which combines with Scandinavian simplicity. The workspace provides end-to-end support for development projects, bridging initial concept sketches, technical CAD modeling, manufacturing packages, and high-end digital visuals.

A significant portion of recent work centers on the yachting sector, following a role as Lead Designer for RAND Boats between 2021 and 2025. In this position, Marek Weidlich was responsible for transferring automotive workflows into the marine environment, helping to modernize the brand’s design language and contributing to several vessels recognized with the German Design Award, European Powerboat of the Year, and Best of Boats Award.

Technical fluency includes nearly a decade of experience with Rhino3D and Blender3D, enabling the delivery of production-ready documentation that aligns creative vision with engineering logic.

Beyond yachting and transport projects, the career history includes collaborations with prominent European design houses and mobility brands, such as Studio F. A. Porsche, Pininfarina Extra, and ŠKODA Auto. This cross-disciplinary expertise informs an understanding of lightweight structures and material applications.

Marek Weidlich also applies these design principles to furniture, lighting, and experimental objects, combining traditional materials with 3D-printed components to refine the overall approach to form and manufacturing data.
