The International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. IYBA was created to unite those engaged in the yacht brokerage business, fostering cooperation and promoting professionalism among its membership.

IYBA strives to maintain a high standard of conduct in the yacht brokerage business. All members are required to abide by a strict code of ethics designed to protect the public against fraud, misrepresentation, or unethical practices.

The organization is committed to being a worldwide leader in broker education, offering members opportunities for useful information and experience through various seminars and events.
