Hutting Yachts

Hutting Yachts builds semi-custom aluminum sailing yachts up to 55 feet, designed primarily for long-distance ocean cruising.

Working alongside naval architects such as Dick Koopmans, Hoek Design, and Van Oossanen, the Dutch shipyard constructs ocean-going hulls — including the Hutting 40, 46 Explorer, 50, and 52 — that prioritize seaworthiness, structural safety, and high-latitude capability.

The Makkum facility operates as a comprehensive boatyard, containing metal fabrication bays, woodwork shops, a dedicated climate-controlled spray booth, and private marina berths. This complete in-house infrastructure allows a specialized team of naval carpenters, systems engineers, and aluminum welders to manage every phase of new construction, complex refits, and structural modifications under one roof.

In addition to new builds, Hutting Yachts handles extensive refit projects for sailing vessels up to 85 feet. Services encompass full interior layout alterations, teak deck installations, rigging overhauls, and the integration of modern hybrid and electric propulsion systems designed to update long-range cruisers for contemporary emissions standards.

In samenwerking met gerenommeerde navale architecten zoals Dick Koopmans, Hoek Design en Van Oossanen realiseert de werf zeewaardige rompen — waaronder de Hutting 40, 46 Explorer, 50 en 52 — waarbij constructieve veiligheid, koersvastheid en geschiktheid voor extreme vaargebieden centraal staan.

De werf beschikt over uitgebreide faciliteiten, waaronder metaalbewerkingshallen, een eigen timmerwerkplaats, een geconditioneerde spuitcabine en ligplaatsen in de eigen jachthaven. Dankzij deze complete in-house infrastructuur voeren gespecialiseerde scheepstimmerlieden, systeeminstallateurs en aluminiumlassers alle werkzaamheden rond nieuwbouw, herstelwerk en ingrijpende refits onder één dak uit.

Naast de bouw van nieuwe schepen voert Hutting Yachts hoogwaardige refitprojecten uit voor zeiljachten tot 85 voet. Dit werk omvat het aanpassen van interieurindelingen, het leggen van teakdekken, de vernieuwing van tuigages en het inbouwen van moderne hybride of elektrische voortstuwingssystemen om zeilschepen voor te bereiden op langdurige reizen.
