Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS)

Headquarters:
Fort Lauderdale
Founded:
1959

Owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and produced by Informa Markets, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is recognized as the largest in-water boat show globally. Staged annually in autumn across South Florida, this five-day event transforms the recognized yachting capital of the world into a massive hub for yacht buyers, builders, and enthusiasts.

The show covers nearly 90 acres and three million square feet of exhibit space spread across seven key locations, including the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Las Olas Marina, Hall of Fame Marina, and Superyacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six South. An intricate network of water taxis, shuttles, and tender services connects these locations, enabling easy movement across six miles of floating docks.

With over 1,300 boats on display and more than 1,000 exhibitors representing over 50 countries, the event caters to every corner of the boating industry. Displays span everything from sportfishers, center consoles, and luxury motor yachts to world debuts of mega superyachts, along with cutting-edge electronics, accessories, and water toys.

Beyond boat sales and equipment showcases, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show generates over $1.7 billion in economic output for Florida each year. Attracting upwards of 100,000 international visitors, the event serves as a primary gathering point for global brokerages, naval architects, and luxury lifestyle brands as the yachting world shifts toward the winter cruising season.
