Elvstrøm Sails

Founded in 1954 by legendary and four times Olympic Gold winner Paul Elvstrøm Elvstrøm Sails is today the largest loft in Europe and the marketleader within the sailing industry. Every day some of the most innovative sails for both cruising and racing are produced at our modern facilities in Aabenraa and sold by our colleagues/sailpoints all over Europe.

With all the central aspects of sail production as sales, design, marketing, production, economy and administration gathered in one place Elvstrøm Sails are always right next to the production process and with our superyacht loft in Palma/Mallorca we also have a central position in order to cater for the superyacht industry.

Elvstrøm Sails employs close to 300 people operating from the headquarters in Denmark and the subsidiaries in France, England, and Tunisia.

In addition, Elvstrøm Sails is represented by over 60 qualified SailPoints, mainly on the European continent – but with an ever-increasing presence outside Europe (Elvstrøm Sails entered the American market in 2016). As an active player since 1954 we take pride in being one of the oldest sailmakers in the world.
