Elco pioneered electric propulsion more than 130 years ago, gaining recognition with 55 electric launches at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Today, the company manufactures a line of fiberglass launches and provides electric inboard and outboard motors for various boat types and sizes.

The motor designs are developed with a focus on being compact, efficient, and reliable. Elco utilizes battery-flexible engineering that incorporates advanced technology, such as solid-state batteries. These units are significantly lighter and smaller than traditional wet-electrolyte lithium batteries, improving power density and extending the vessel’s range.

Integration is a key feature of the propulsion systems, with the hardware capable of connecting to navigation displays as well as wireless and wearable screens.

Switching to Elco electric propulsion offers several operational advantages, including zero exhaust emissions and a significant reduction in noise and vibration. Additionally, the systems require less maintenance than traditional combustion engines, providing a clean and intuitive experience for boat owners.
