Du Toit Yacht Design
Anton du Toit established Du Toit Yacht Design in 2001, and the company has since become a leading naval architecture agency in South Africa. Based in the boat-building hub of Cape Town, the team has produced more custom catamaran meters and tonnage than any other designer in the southern hemisphere.
The agency consists of a team of eight designers and interior planners who have completed over 120 projects. This portfolio includes more than 25 entirely custom and production catamarans, reflecting a deep specialization in multihull naval architecture. Anton du Toit brings over 40 years of practical sailing and racing experience to every project, a background that earned him the Disa South African Design Excellence Award in 2007.
One of the primary strengths of the company is the ability to provide a complete package of deliverables, ranging from initial proposals to precise working drawings. The team manages complex technical requirements, including CNC plug and tooling design, as well as high-tech engineering scantlings.
The company maintains a focus on close collaboration with both the client and the builder to ensure that specific requirements are met throughout the construction process. This hands-on approach is informed by a lifetime of experience in maintaining and refitting yachts in international hubs like France, Spain, and Fort Lauderdale.
