The versatile, and future-proof passagemakers, the Long Range Cruisers design by Dennis Harjamaa of Artnautica Yacht Design (NZ). The LRC/XPMs are fuel-efficient aluminum motor yachts and are designed to work well as a permanent live-aboard but will be equally suited to coastal cruising, crossing oceans, or drifting down inland waterways.

The LRC portfolio consists of the 58 and 65, and the XPM portfolio consists of the 78 and 85. The LRC/XPM design is semi-production which means that the aluminum construction sizes and some systems such as the main engine(s) plus driveline are fixed.

However, since the marine industry developments move fast (think hybrid or electric propulsion, more sophisticated navigational systems, battery types), Artnautica Yacht Design supports a certain amount of freedom in choosing layout and systems.

For example, although we advise a fixed range of main engine(s), a prospective owner can deviate from this choice. Other engine room systems could be used as well, the choice depending very much on the use scenario. The layout (joinery) can be adapted/changed too. Divergent decisions, of course, may lead to higher build costs.
