Royal Hakvoort Shipyard is a family owned business with over a century of shipbuilding experience. We make fully custom superyachts of the highest quality; we don’t strive to be the largest, we strive to be the best.

In 2020 we were honoured to be allowed to change our name to the Royal Hakvoort Shipyard. This designation is only given to family firms who have offered an impeccable level of service to clients for more than 100 years. It is another indication of how much you will enjoy building a superyacht up to 65 metres in length at our yard. We also offer you purpose-built facilities for major refits.

Passing down skills and expertise from generation to generation is at the heart of everything we do at this yard. Since 2022, Abel Hakvoort, joins the office staff as project manager. Sharing your commitment to perfection, we would welcome the opportunity to work together on your yacht.

The Yard

Located on the shores of the IJsselmeer lake about 8 miles north of Amsterdam, we are a mere 15 miles away from Schiphol International Airport.

Our facilities include two enclosed and temperature-controlled docking and construction halls. There is also a metal workshop, a dedicated office complex and a large quayside operation. Around ninety highly experienced staff work at Hakvoort, supporting the building of your yacht from design conception to launch.
