RAD Propulsion is an innovative and sustainable marine technology company. It was established by a team of UK engineer and tech entrepreneurs, aiming to cut carbon emissions in the maritime industry by producing top quality products that are quieter, smarter, easier to use and people are proud to own.

RAD was founded in 2018 by Rich Daltry and Dan Hook. Rich and Dan previously built and developed some of the world’s most advanced marine robot boats for the offshore industry, defence and oceanographic sectors. They quickly established an experienced team of product designers, engineers, app developers and marketing experts to move the needle on sustainable marine product innovations.

Going electric

Our team has extensive first hand experience of the negative impact of fossil fuel drive systems. Electric has been a game changer in the automotive world and we spotted an opportunity to harness the power of electric for OEM boat builders, while delivering performance and design excellence.

Passion and expertise

The driving force behind RAD Propulsion is to make superior products by utilising modern electronics, power control, software and connectivity technologies. We are experts in the harsh marine environment and our team are passionate about contributing to sustainability efforts.

The future

The marine industry must find credible alternatives to fossil fuelled propulsion to do its part in reducing global emissions. We will be the standout brand for boatbuilders, commercial operators and leisure boat customers in the electrification journey, with a product portfolio that delivers reliability, ruggedness, simplicity of operation and outstanding design.

FuturePlus

RAD Propulsion works closely with The Sustainability Group using its innovative FuturePlus platform to track, measure and manage our sustainability practices. By dividing sustainability into the five key topics of Climate, Diversity & Inclusion, Social, Economic and Environment, FuturePlus enables us to focus on areas that can create the most impact and build environmental responsibility into multiple aspects of our business.
